The Sword of the Lord and the Sword of Gideon
Text: When I blow with a trumpet, I and all that are with me, then blow ye the trumpets also on every side of all the camp, and say, The sword of the Lord , and of Gideon.
Judges 7:18 KJV
Learn and Apply: There are certain feats you accomplish and people begin to ask you, How did you do it? They know for sure you couldn’t have done it in your own strength.
And truly it is so; we make great progress in life when God is on our side. What great victories we experience when God fights for us.
Gideon knew he’d need God to get the victory, which was why the war anthem was, The sword of the Lord and the sword of Gideon. That is the winning battle formation.
Christians are not left in doubt as to what the sword of the Lord is. It is the word of God. The voice that gives direction for our victories in life.
As we war in life, may we engage the word of God which guarantees our victory in life.
Prayer: Dear Father, teach us to hear your voice, and enable us to obey in Jesus name, so that our victory over the battles of this life is guaranteed in Jesus name.
