#LAIsaiah Devotional Day 31 by Adaobi Nwosu

Designed For His Glory

Your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I might be glorified. Isaiah 60:21 ESV

We are referred to as the branch of his planting and the work of His hands. Our life should be lived in a way that brings glory to God, which will in turn draw men to Him. This is possible when we abide in Him and remaining planted in him.

Do your thoughts, words and actions bring glory to God? Are men turned towards God when they come in contact with you? Are you fixed and planted in Him?

Our living ought to emanate from Him the same way a branch lives off a tree and bears fruit. John 15:8 says ‘by this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.‘ It is when we are planted in Him that we bear such fruit that gives Him glory.

God’s grace qualifies us and not our works. Yet if we choose to abide in Him, He will do great works with us and through us. As the work of His hands, we are designed to bear fruit and do good works for His glory. For we are God’s handiwork planted in Christ Jesus for good works (Eph 2:10).

Prayer focus
Dear Lord, thank you for creating me and planting me in Christ Jesus. I live my life with you as my source. I receive grace to bear fruit and do works which continually bring glory to you, in Jesus name Amen.
