#LAIsaiah Devotional Day 27 ‘Love ’til forever’ by Olushola Oludayo

TO LOVE ‘TIL FOREVER

‘…I will show you my love for ever’ says the Lord who saves you’ Isaiah 54:8b (Goodnews)

Have you ever been in love?
Have you ever had that feeling of completeness seeing your loved ones happy?

Some of us have been lucky, loving people who love us right back while some have been pretty unlucky with love.

We all have someone who daily craves more intimacy with us. Someone who will do anything for us because He cares. Someone who has the greatest and the best kind of love we can ever experience – GOD.

The bible says that His love for us will never end (Isaiah 54:10, how amazing! He loves us so dearly. Unfortunately, we don’t always accept His gift of love. We rebel and shun Him so much that sometimes He tries to let us go. But His nature (love) will not let Him (Isaiah 54:7-8).

How many times have you had to take the blame for some loved one’s wrong? Likewise our King, he was despised, scorned and punished for our sins yet he took it in good faith because he cares and can’t bear to see us punished (Isaiah 53:4-7).

How often have you had your heart shredded because ‘that’ person won’t love you back? We do same to Christ daily. We nail him over and over again when we don’t embrace his love and do as he pleases.

Daily he extends that hand of fellowship once again. He tells us He cares and want a more robust relationship with us. He proposes an affair that will be forever. What will our response be? Will we say ‘yes’ to Him or continue to make Him suffer through our scorn and disdain?

Prayer Focus
Faithful Father, thank You for loving me regardless of my actions. I ask that You will help me to stop nailing You to the cross with my attitude in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
