Olu Seun must be a restaurateur!
She delights in feeding people fat.
Enjoy!
1 Chronicles 27
Good Organizational Structure. Some of these names are finally sticking. Joab was the commander of David’s Royal Army and his brothers were Asahel and Abishai. They were soooo loyal to David.
1 Chronicles 28
Verse 19
1 Chronicles 28:19 GNB
King David said, “All this is contained in the plan written according to the instructions which the Lord himself gave me to carry out.”
Sometimes when we receive divine inspiration, we get so excited without any clue as to how it will be accomplished. Of course when walking in the flesh, it’s easy to become frustrated and discouraged. We can learn from that verse that it’s wise to go back to the same God that gave the vision. He is also willing and able to give a clearer picture and instructions on how to accomplish the task.
1 Chronicles 29
David was such an exemplary leader as we can see in verse 3. After making ample provisions for the building of God’s temple, he still went ahead to give from his own personal treasury. No wonder it was easy for all the leaders to follow suit.
1 Chronicles 29:9 GNB
The people had given willingly to the Lord , and they were happy that so much had been given. King David also was extremely happy.
David GAVE himself, his wealth, his all to God. He recognized that it all came from God anyway, same with Abraham. Most of us tend to forget whatever we’re enjoying has been given to us by God. We start believing it’s our power and might and hard work that brings the blessing.
1 Chronicles 29:14 GNB
“Yet my people and I cannot really give you anything, because everything is a gift from you, and we have only given back what is yours already.
He was a man after God’s heart. Let’s learn from him.
I’ll cross reference verse 28 with our memory verses
1 Chronicles 29:28 ESV
Then he died at a good age, full of days, riches, and honor. And Solomon his son reigned in his place.
Psalms 92:14 NKJV
They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,
Please in case you thought you’ll be a suffer head old Mama and Papa, forget it. As long as you remain faithful, you will be fat and flourishing and sleep in the Lord at a GOOD OLD AGE.
2 Chronicles 1
II Chronicles 1:10-12 NKJV
Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this great people of Yours?” Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king— wisdom and knowledge are granted to you; and I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings have had who were before you, nor shall any after you have the like.”
Amazing! King Solomon was futuristic o. The guy was already ahead in thinking. Let’s be honest, how many of us would ask the Sovereign God -the owner of Cattle on a thousand hills (Psalms 50:10)- for wisdom? I can’t help but think of Matthew 6:33 that tells us to seek first God’s Kingdom and it’s righteousness and ALL these things will be given as well. Put First things first and other things automatically follow.
And of course, our very own Ese got a vision for the family:
” LA187 is a new generation of believers seeking truth and terrorizing the kingdom of darkness. LA187 is a new breed of Christians who are no longer held back by dead religious paradigms but operate in the love that has been freely given. We live the message. We preach by our living and use words rarely when demanded.”
We have memory verses for the day, provided by Olu Seun:
Psalms 92:12-14 NKJV
The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing,
Make sure you personalize it.
Stay blessed, family!
