Hello family! We hope you had a fresh day filled with learning and applying the word! The family keeps growing….. we give thanks to our awesome God!
Today’s Reading:
Psalms 110; Job 1 – 4
We started reading the powerful book of Job today and #LA187 family members had a lot to say on the four chapters we have read thus far.
Job 1:8 – Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?”
Job 2:3 – Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.”
@Eloxie from our Twitter family pointed out that “God boasted about Job. What pride He must have had to say that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man…#LA187“
She also asked “What boast does God have of me? Can He boast of you and me so boldly? #LA187“
@LA187Family on Twitter advised “Want a good reputation? #LA187 be “… a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil.”
…….And then calamity fell upon Job….. How did he react?
Job 1:20-22
Then Job arose, tore his robe, and shaved his head; and he fell to the ground and worshiped. And he said:
“Naked I came from my mother’s womb,
And naked shall I return there.
The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away;
Blessed be the name of the Lord.”
In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong.
W-O-W!!!!
“But Job’s response was amazing. Amidst his deep loss & pain, he fell down and worshipped. Have you ever worshipped God when in pain? #LA187” @Eloxie
“‘In all this did not Job sin with his lips.’ In every situation, give thanks… #LA187” @JorrdannC
“Can you imagine Job’s situation? You know that moment when all is lost? #LA187 and yet he blessed the name of the Lord! #bless Him always!” – @LA187Family
“Job …fell to the ground and worshiped” Chei! He’d just lost every single thing he had (which was a lot) & his 1st move ws worship #LA187” – @Masterpiece1618
W-O-W again!!!
Word Overflow!
Let’s not forget our memory verse which was posted earlier today for maximum memorization time 🙂
Psalms 110:1 NKJV
The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”
Go for the word! Go forward.
