It’s Day 33 of our #LA130 program.

Today’s Reading: Luke 21 – 22.

For the daily readings, please see here.

#LA130Prayer from Luke 21 and 22:

  1. I receive the grace for sacrificial giving IN JESUS NAME Luke 21:1-4
  2. I will watch out against the enemy’s deceit IN JESUS NAME Luke 21:8
  3. I receive wisdom that none of my adversaries will be able to resist or contradict IN JESUS NAME Luke 21:15
  4. I praise you Lord for your eternal word IN JESUS NAME Luke 21:33
  5. I receive the grace for prayer and watchfulness IN JESUS NAME Luke 21:34-37
  6. My faith will not fail me, I will strengthen others IN JESUS NAME Luke 22:32
  7. Father, I ask for your will to be done in my life IN JESUS NAME Luke 22:42

The night before Jesus’ suffering He longed to feast his last with the disciples and the feast was called the Passover feast.

  1. ‘And He took bread and broke it…..’ Luke 22:19. The broken bread signifies his body that will suffer pain just for our redemption.
  2. ‘….this cup is the new covenant in my blood…’ Luke 22:20. The blood of Jesus was spilled for the new covenant to set in which is the ‘Covenant of Grace’. The Passover signifies the end of the old covenant of Moses (Law) and the start of the new covenant in Jesus (Grace).
  3. ‘….I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you.’ ‘….do this is remembrance of me’, Luke 22:15, 19. We are to commune with our brethren to observe this feast and even as Jesus was eager to take the Passover, we should also be eager to eat of his flesh and blood.

You have Learned! Go forth and Apply!

Food For Thought: Are you obeying Jesus’ instruction… ‘Do this in remembrance of me’?

Please deposit Luke 22:19 into the memory bank:

And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
