#LA130: DAY 024 – THE WILDERNESS!

LAFAMLOGO

Frello F.R.E.S.H #LA Family! The Freshest family of God that consistently Learns and Applies the Word.

It’s Day 24 of our #LA130 program.

Today’s Reading: Luke 3 – 4.

For the daily readings, please see here.

#WORDOverflow! We’ll share 5 fresh lessons from Chapter 3 and 4.

Chapter 3

  • We must prepare the way for the coming of the Lord. We are in a World of Sin where a call to Salvation looks like a voice crying in the Wilderness but we should never be deterred. (V4)
  • There is no other mode to Salvation than through repentance. There is no other justification or personal quality that can guarantee repentance. (V8)
  • Upon Salvation, we must bear good fruits. We can either be hot or cold. God frowns more on a lukewarm attitude and promised to spew us out of His mouth. (V9)
  • We are admonished to be considerate of those around us. We must always engage in acts of love by sharing what we have with others. It might be knowledge, material things, meat and even God’s word. Our hearts should be drawn to the needs of others. (V11)
  • People inquired from John what they need to do and as Christians we often meet situations where we need to know what to do. The Holy Spirit, the great Teacher is always there to minister to our Spirit and to lead us into God’s will for us. (V10,12)

Chapter 4

  • As Jesus we must always be filled with the Holy Ghost. Let me simply state this that without the continual presence of the Holy Ghost, a Christian would derail in this present World. (V1)
  • There is a wilderness phase but even in that phase you are never alone. (V1)
  • When the devil throws negative situations at you, challenge him with the Word. Know the Word. Know what it says concerning you. Live by the Word. Confess and pray the Word. (V4)
  • The wilderness phase isn’t forever. It’s a time of faith in God and His Word. (V13)
  • The wilderness phase is a springboard to the next level. (V14)

You have Learned! Go forth and Apply!

Food For Thought: We will inevitably go through a wilderness phase. The question is: How will we react?

Please deposit Luke 3:11 into the memory bank:

He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
