It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
This verse struck me as I read today’s chapter, especially because 2015 is our year of Abundant Fruitfulness in the LA Family (For those that were unaware, NOW YOU KNOW). The tree of life that grows on either side of the river in heaven is a fruitful tree.
From yesterday’s reading, we learned that the new heaven and earth is full of goodies for the saints, all forms of evil will be gone forever and the Lord will make all things NEW. This tells us that the atmosphere is conducive for the tree to flourish and bear fruit!
The tree bore 12 fruits with each tree yielding its fruit every month. We have 12 months in a year. In this year of Abundant Fruitfulness, we shall be fruitful all year round in Jesus name.
From today’s reading, we see that the leaves from this fruitful tree of life were also useful. They were used to heal the nations. Every part of our lives must speak life and healing to those around us. Do we bring improvement/healing or do we worsen the situation? SELAH!
Pray: Lord! I will be fruitful in every area of my life. I shall be like the tree of life planted by the rivers of water, I shall bear fruit continually. My leaves shall not wither, rather they shall also be useful by bringing healing in Jesus name. Amen!
