1 Corinthians 16:1-4 highlights God using Paul to remind us to give. We should set aside something for God’s work as we prosper, for God will indeed prosper us.
Many times, especially when we run a race that goes on till Jesus comes, we tend to be weak, or faint, or sleep. God is reminding us to stand fast in the faith. Let us be strong. Be strong. V 13. Don’t give up, not just yet, not until you see Jesus!
Noteworthy, also, was Paul’s recommendation of the household of Stephanas. They not only identified themselves with the ministry, they devoted themselves to it. I pray that when the history of LA family will be written, may it be said that Ike Amadi devoted himself to the ministry, he and his household. V 15.
“If anyone does not love the Lord Jesus, let him be accursed. O Lord, come!” 1 Cor 16:22
Anathema (to be accursed), may we never be Anathematized. For that would mean we are accursed. It becomes clear then, that for us to be blessed, we must love Jesus. In essence, any person who loves Jesus will be blessed. (1 Cor 16:22) or still further, the deeper your love for Jesus, the bigger your blessing!
My small question would then be: what must I do to show I love Jesus? Or more correctly, what characteristics does a Lover of Jesus exhibit? Or if you like, How do I know I love Jesus?
Do you love Jesus?
Then you are blessed beyond measure.
