And it came to pass, whenever the stronger livestock conceived, that Jacob placed the rods before the eyes of the livestock. In the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. Gen 30:41
What do you focus your attention on? Who is your role model?
What are you expending your energy on?
When Jacob was ready to leave his Uncle and Father-in-law, Laban, they agreed upon a sharing formula. The animals that conceived among the rods were spotted because they gazed on the rods, what they beheld they became. In the same vein, 2 Corithians 3:18 tells us when we also look unto Jesus we are transformed into his likeness –
‘But we all, with unveiled face,beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord,are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory,just as the spirit of the Lord’.
Today, start to behold God in His word. In the books we read, in the music we listen to and in the movies we watch. Always remember, what you behold you will become in time.

Father, let the mind that was in Christ Jesus be in me too. O Lord, create in me a new heart; give unto me a heart that pants after you in Jesus’ name, Amen
