#TheLAFamily Devotional ‘ Receive, Confess and go over’ by @manueladesola

Glory be to God for allowing us see the end of June and for completing the  reading of 2 Kings. But still, let’s see what we can hold onto from the reading.

I will like to take us back to 2 Kings 2:14, ‘and he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and he smote the waters, and said, where is the Lord God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they part hither and thither: and Elisha went over.

Before Elijah eventually went to heaven, Elisha requested to be blessed by him. When the time came, Elisha received double portion of Elijah’s power. Almost immediately, he faced a similar challenge like Elijah did at Jordan and this is what he did. He took Elijah’s mantle, believed in the power in it, confessed the God of Elijah to show up, smote the water and at last crossed over like Elijah did.

The challenges of life have no timetable but as many that believes in Jesus, to them He give power. Worthy is the lamb who was slain to receive power for our sake. For every challenge that occurs, there is an instant power and grace in Christ to counter it.

But you must ;
1- Receive and believe in this power to work.

2- Confess the power and call it down through prayer. Act in line to the testimony you desire. Faith without work is dead.

What you will encounter after this is a walk over, a breakthrough that will announce you to the world as E-lisha was announced to the sons of prophets.

The reason Christians fail to cross over any challenge is because they only desire without performing. Power to sail through is available to you, you need to perform your own responsibility to experience God. Amen

Prayer Focus
Father in heaven, we pray that as we begin to call upon the power from above, every challenge become a testimony and as a nation, we decree peace upon our land, Amen.
