REVIEW OF 2THESSALONIANS BY #LATEAMFAITH

This book was written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Thessalonica to acknowledge the suffering and persecution the church was facing in Chapter 1 and also to encourage them to remain steadfast and unshaken in the Lord Jesus. It did not end with encouragement but went further to pray for them to live a life worthy of the call of God upon them. This chapter ministers to every Christian that we should endure persecution and still hold fast to our faith. In as much as we are enduring the persecution, we should endeavour to live a life that is worthy of the call of God upon our lives
In Chapter 2, he talks about events that will take place prior to the second coming of the Lord and this is premised on the revealing of the man of lawlessness, the one who brings destruction. This man of lawlessness will exalt himself higher and even call himself God. Let’s be mindful that the lawlessness is already on in our days and it is fast becoming the norm. We are enjoined to be very watchful in these times, standing firm in the faith we received and keeping a strong grip on the teachings that we have acquired either by studying of the word or by ministry of teaching.
Apostle Paul asks in Chapter 3 that the brethren pray for them and also for the spread of the word of God and not only the spread but that the word be honoured as it spreads. They were enjoined to also pray that God delivers His people from evil and wicked people. This is admonition to all of us to always prays for ourselves, our leaders in the church and outside the church and also for the spread of the word of God. We are asked to pray not only for the spread of the word but that the word should be honoured wherever it is being spoken.
Lastly, he admonished that every one of us must be diligent workers and to shun every form of idleness and busybodiness as that is a ridicule to the call and mandate of God upon our lives.
God bless us all as we do our parts in standing and watching and obeying the mandates of our God.
