READ #LAActs Devotional Day 6 ‘Irresistible Wisdom’

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake. Acts 6:10 (KJV)

The Bible communicates wisdom beyond the confines of this earth. Today’s verse replicates Luke 21:15, For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. It is God’s will for His Children to be outstanding and overcome the whims of their enemies.

A mouth and wisdom implies more than the ability to speak profoundly. It is the enabling to speak the right words in due season, and, with the backing of the Holy Spirit. All that a Christian needs for triumphant living on a daily basis is in the wisdom that comes from above.

This wisdom given to the Believer follows the order of the manifestation Jesus Christ had while He was on earth. Wisdom that confounds unbelievers and shuts up the mouth of gainsayers. In Luke 21:14, Jesus Christ gave us this guarantee, ‘Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer.

Many of us don’t understand that the Holy Spirit, which is in us, backs up every word we say. We will pray for our miracles and then go about confessing the contrary and become filled with doubt. If we exercised the authority given to us, no devil would be able to resist our words. It is the Spirit of God that gives us utterance, and the ability to converse with authority and clarity.

God has given you a mouth and wisdom. Begin this day to live with this confidence. God’s Spirit backs up the words of your mouth and no devil can resist the authority in your words.

Prayer focus:
Lord, thank You for the wisdom You have released upon me. Help me to use it well so that my world will conform to Your will. Amen.
