READ #LAActs Devotional Day 4 ‘ Can The World Tell You Are With Jesus?’

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13

There will be times when we will face people who will oppose and question our ‘qualification’ to speak the word, but it should not matter. Our authority to spread the gospel does not require justification from man based on our qualification. The presence of Christ in our lives should be enough evidence.

Our good works for the kingdom should amaze our world and make them know we are with Jesus. Do yours?

Sometimes, we allow ourselves to get in the way of God using us as witnesses. It’s like we spend so much trying to cultivate ourselves in order to get man’s approval.

The Sadducees could not legitimately dismiss the teachings and miracles of the apostles. Peter and Paul had been with Jesus, and it was significant. They had first been with Jesus, now they had the Holy Spirit to continue teaching them.

Your life has a purpose. The more we desire the presence of Jesus in our lives, the greater our ability to be a sign and wonder to the world, win souls, and bring people to God’s truth.  Understand the magnitude of who you are in the body of Christ, and believe that we are one.

‘Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul;’ Acts 4:32

May God help us to set our priorities right, desiring first to be with Jesus, daily.

Prayer Focus
Beloved LORD, open the mouths of your children speak through us so that all peoples shall praise You! In the name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
