READ #LAActs Devotional Day 20 ‘To Perfection’

‘And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.’ Acts 20:32

Paul’s consul shows the path to godly perfection – God’s will is for us to attain perfection in Christ Jesus. We are saved to move unto perfection and escape perdition.

Along this journey to eternity, it is important to know you are God’s husbandry (1 Cor.3:9) and He nourishes and builds you unto perfection. Yes, the race can be interjected with burdens and trials; thankfully, these challenges prepare you for perfection.

The grace of God upon our lives is the means through which God builds us up unto perfection, preparing us to receive full inheritance in Christ Jesus.

You and I have the word of His grace to champion our course from earth to eternity. Let us give ourselves to the Word and see Him power us to our inheritance in Christ.

‘I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death so that one way or another I will experience the resurrection from the dead!
I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.’
Philipians 3:10-14

Prayer Focus:
Lord, I thank You for this journey to eternity. I pray that Your grace would continually be sufficient for me and that Your works will be made perfect in my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
