Text: Ephesians 5-6 and Philippians 1-2.

Eph. 5-6
This scripture enjoins us to be imitators of God by walking in love, walking in light and walking in wisdom. Walking in love entails that we live a life that is pleasing to the Lord as an offering and a sacrifice unto the Father. Walking in love means we shun every form of sin and it’s allurement. This walking in love extends to light because we are expected to walk as children of light in all goodness, righteousness and truth and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness. And by which we are expected to walk circumspectly not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time.

Be wise by understanding what the will of the Father is.

A guide to every relationship man might find himself and how to conduct himself in a way that is pleasing to The Lord.
We as children of God are expected to daily fortify ourselves with all the arsenals that God has made available for use, Eph. 6:10-13. It can’t be overemphasized that we daily need to put on the WHOLE armour of God to be able to survive in our world.

Philippians 1-2
“He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Phil 1:6). Our God is the God of the finished work. What He has started in you, HE will complete. As God is committed to His work in us, the same commitment is expected that we might grow worthy of Him.

Philippians 1: we can see that Paul was in prison but that didn’t deter him from preaching the gospel. No matter your situation and circumstance, it shouldn’t deter you from preaching and speaking the word of life.
Philippians 2: Paul admonishes that we all be like minded and shun every form of “self” mindedness. We are to be one in accord with each other and also walk in humility. For it is written, God resist the proud but exalt the humble.

Finally my brethren, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Shalom.
