January: the month of FAITH
Reading: Matthew 17-20

Grace For All

‘But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?’
Matthew 20:13

Sometimes, when we see someone experience what we earnestly desire we are tempted to think ‘there goes my blessing’, as though God blessed someone else at our expense forgetting that we can never run God dry.

The reward in the parable of the vineyard workers can be likened to our salvation, a reflection of God’s grace. We should not begrudge those who turn to God in the last moment of life because, in truth, no one deserves eternal life. It is a free gift for all.

God is no respecter of person (Acts 10:34) therefore He is willing to mete out the same measure of grace to all who will dare to receive from His unlimited resources (Ephesians 3:16). It is never too late for a fresh start with God.

Don’t begrudge what God is doing in the life of another person. Instead, focus on God’s graciousness to you, and be consistently thankful.

Prayer Focus:
Abba, thank You for loving me personally. I receive all that You have prepared for me from your unlimited resources and I choose to focus on Your graciousness daily. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
