2 Chronicles 32:8 “With Sennacherib is an arm of flesh; but with us is the Lord our God, to help us and to fight our battles.” And the people were strengthened by the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.”
Sennacherib thought, “I’ve got this! My army can’t be defeated.” He boasted himself against the Lord. Sennacherib tried to spit in the face of God! No one criticizes God and gets away with it.
Hezekiah put his faith in God. Verse 22 says God sent one “angel who cut down every mighty man of valor, leader, and captain in the camp!” And shamed Sennacherib. Did you get that! One angel!
And Jesus tells us that God can send more than twelve legions of angels to help. (Matthew 26:53) If one can defeat Sennacherib, What can 12 legions do? Turn to God in a crisis. There is nothing impossible with God. Our weakness is no hindrance to His saving power.
