Text: 2 Chronicles 21-24
2 Chronicles 22:3 “He (Ahaziah) also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother advised him to do wickedly.”
I cannot warn people enough about whom you marry. Ahaziah’s father chose an unbeliever. 2 Chronicles 21:6 “And he (Jehoram) had the daughter of Ahab as a wife; and he did evil in the sight of the Lord.” Not only was it death to Jehoram, but Ahaziah is advised by the same wicked woman.
“The wrong “bird” in your hand is NOT worth the two in the bush! Choose prayerfully and wait patiently when making life decisions. A Niece married an unbeliever, and now she regrets it, three children and a divorce later.
Solomon says twice in Proverbs, “Better to dwell in a corner of a housetop, Than in a broad house shared with a contentious woman.” With a contentious man also.
Find someone that loves the Lord more than you do to marry! And if you are married, especially to an unbeliever, much prayer and forgiveness is required.
