#LA187: DAY 172 – Knowing God Should Be Our Heart Desire

#LA187 FAMILY

Hello EverGreen #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 172! Receive Fresh Grace to carry on.

Quiz time 🙂

What shall happen to the people that do not understand?

Hint: Hosea 4

Today, we read Proverbs 16 and Hosea 4-7.

Live we’ve said again and again, the amount of wisdom oozing from the book of Proverbs cannot be overemphasized and must not be missed. Read it, understand it, verse by verse, chapter by chapter. Please realize that these are summaries and can only cover so much material, please read the chapters for power lies therein.

On Proverbs 16, verses 10 to 15 talk about the attributes of a King which also apply to Christians. Our mouths should always speak the truth; we must not commit wickedness knowing that our God is righteous. We should love those that speak the truth.

On verse 24Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, Sweetness to the soul and health to the bones @Eloxie enjoins us to allow God’s life giving spirit flow through from our hearts to our lips. We will speak pleasant words, and bring life and healing.

Hosea 4 talks about the priests and how they even caused the people to sin. We are the priests of this age. Do we bring light or lead the people farther into darkness? We need to be careful of what we do. If we noticed, Daniel never had to preach, His life left people wanting God. That’s how we should live so that even when we aren’t there to speak, our lights shine SO bright that others give glory to God.

Hosea 5:14“When Ephraim saw his sickness, And Judah saw his wound, Then Ephraim went to Assyria And sent to King Jareb; Yet he cannot cure you, Nor heal you of your wound.– teaches us a fresh lesson. In times of distress, turn not to man but to God, only He can save us and set us free.

God wants us to know Him – Hosea 6:6. Knowing God should be our heart desire!

In Hosea 7, we see that even after all of Israel’s sin, God said He longed to talk to them but they didn’t yield to Him. The level to which we see God’s hands in our lives is the level to which we allow Him act and be in our lives.

We always love it when Ibukun, our blessing comes through! She always serves a FILLING meal.

Our memory verse for today was from Proverbs 16:9

A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps.

Rejoice! Our steps are ordered!

Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
