#LA187: DAY 159 – Does God Know Me To Be Righteous?

#LA187 FAMILY

Hello Blessed #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 159! It’s also the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Quiz time 🙂

Please list two lies that the foolish prophets told.

Hint: Ezekiel 13.

Today, we read Proverbs 3 and Ezekiel 12-15.

Lanre Fresh was on kitchen duty today and boy did she serve a filling meal on Proverbs 3. We’ll highlight a few points she made.

  • Acknowledge that God is God over all affairs of our lives
  • We must put all our trust in God, and not depend on our power or understanding of things.
  • God’s discipline is not an act of hatred, He disciplines us because He loves us.
  • The wisdom of God brings forth eternal life, riches, honor and gives us peace.

@Ogetours shared some fresh advice on Ezekiel 12:2 – Don’t be a rebel, use your eyes to SEE God’s word & your ears to HEAR His message, then be quick to comply therein.

On Ezekiel 13, @Eloxie was quick to observe a recurring theme through Isaiah, Jeremiah and now Ezekiel: GOD IS ALWAYS UPSET WHEN PEOPLE SAY WHAT HE HAS NOT SAID! We’re so quick to distance ourselves from these lying prophets by saying “We’re not prophets so it doesn’t apply to us.” We are indeed prophets because the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Therefore, we should not be hasty to say something just because it’s what the recipient wants to hear.

Ezekiel 14:14Even if these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they would deliver only themselves by their righteousness,” says the Lord God. – God confirmed these men as righteous. Ask yourself “Does God know me to be righteous?”

From Ibukun’s fresh share on Ezekiel 15, we learned that faithlessness is a sin that could manifest itself in different ways, for example, idol worship. Let us always put our total trust in God, guaranteed safety!

Our memory verse for today was from Proverbs 3:9

Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
