#LA187: DAY 146 – We’re EverGreen!

#LA187 FAMILY

Hello Freshest #LA187 Family of God! It’s Day 146. Our God is the same yesterday (Day 145), today (Day 146) and forever more (Beyond Day 187). Look to Him for indeed He is the author and finisher of our faith.

Quiz time 🙂

Please complete the following: _________ is the man who trusts in man and _____________ is the man who trusts in the LORD.

Hint: Jeremiah 17.

Testimony time 🙂

The blessings on #LA187 family members are overflowing! We’re celebrating graduations, university admission plus scholarship, marriage introductions, birthdays! This is just the beginning! The Lord is truly perfecting all that concerns us.

Today, we read Psalms 140 and Jeremiah 17-20.

#LA187 is EVERGREEN. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 17 that the man who trusts in the Lord is blessed, fruitful and remains evergreen. May we remain in such a glorious state because the complete opposite is the portion of the one that trusts in man – he is cursed, he does not see good, he is like a shrub in the desert and he shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness. NOT OUR PORTION!

Blessing Chi, or our family Pastor as we love to call her, exhorted the family on Jeremiah 18:4-6. “God is asking, can we relax and let Him be God, can we submit totally to Him and accept His perfect will in our lives Unfold? Can we be patient enough in Christ to know that whatever we are passing through in life is just for a short while? Can we worry less and cast all our cares on Him???”

Lesson learned on the clay jar in Jeremiah 19: Don’t treat God like one of the boys. Return to HIM!

We see Pashur “touching God’s anointed and doing His prophet harm” in Jeremiah 20. Not a wise move. End result? Read verses 4-6! Jeremiah 20:11 has already become a #LA187 declaration.

But the Lord is with me as a mighty, awesome One.
Therefore my persecutors will stumble, and will not prevail.
They will be greatly ashamed, for they will not prosper.
Their everlasting confusion will never be forgotten.

On Psalms 140, Fresh Kay observed that David always relied on God. May we have a heart like David in Jesus name.

Our memory verse for today was from Psalms 140:7

O God the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

You dwell in the secret place of the Most High. You are covered!

Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
