Hello Blessed and Favored #LA187 Family! It’s Day 122. Have you read your Bible and prayed today? That’s our special way of asking you how you’re doing. If the Spirit is good, the body has to follow suit. More Grace and Zeal!
We would like to welcome our latest family members. Welcome home. We celebrate you.
Quiz time 🙂
Complete the following: A good name is better than ___________________.
Hint: Ecclesiastes 7 from today’s reading.
Today, we read Psalms 119: 76-100 and Ecclesiastes 7-10.
From the portion of Psalms 119 we read today, we learned that the Word is our Sustenance.
Jesus said heaven and earth will pass away but not His words (Matthew 24:35). Hang on to the Word and you’re assured of VICTORY. Jesus said He is the Bread of Life and whoever eats of this flesh has eternal life (John 6:51). Eat the Word. For by it, you are sustained and preserved.
Off to Ecclesiastes we go! Williams shed some #FRESH light on Ecclesiastes 7:1.
“A good name is better than precious ointment ;”(Eccl. 7:1). Here the Preacher is extolling the value of a good reputation. #LA187”
“A good reputation finds honour before God & men, & benefits us after death! Just as it did with the “elders” of the OT – Heb. 11. #LA187”
“A good reputation finds honour before God & men, & benefits us after death! Especially if our “names” are written in heaven! #LA187”
“In what time we have in this life, it is better spent making a good name for ourselves, than accumulating wealth! #LA187”
Thanks William! You will remain #FRESH and Flourishing.
Ecclesiastes 8:12 warmed our hearts with a SURE WORD. “…..yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him.”
Ecclesiastes 9:10a instructs us to DO whatever our hands find to do with all our might. Do all things with diligence, patience, endurance and joy.
Blessing from our WhatsApp family went in on Ecclesiastes 10:18 (Because of laziness the building decays, And through idleness of hands the house leaks).
“This is one our main reasons for DOING SOMETHING”. Like Daddy Fresh says “DO Something, Indolence is costly“. You see when d wisdom you have is profitable enof to direct you, you will not stay idle, you will do something tangible and significant for our Lord, and you will do something like someone who is ALIVE and FRESH. I see God strengthening us to receive d unction to do great and mighty things for Him.”
AMEN!! #LA187 will do great and mighty things for God.
Our memory verse for today was from Psalm 119:89
Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.
As our dear Dr. Busuyi rightly said, this Word is such an assurance. No matter what, God’s Word about our lives is settled in Heaven and shall come to pass on earth.
As a family, let’s endeavor to encourage one another. Check on at least one family member a day. Most importantly, remember to pray for your #LA187 family!
Stay FRESH and ALIVE!
