#LA187: DAY 108 – FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS!

FRESHNESS

Hello Family, it’s Day 108…. all we have to sayyyyyy is ‘Thank You Lord’.

#LA187 family member, God has placed you in this amazing family FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS! As @jiokemad tweeted “And I ask @LA187Family who knows we were made for such a time like this, to reconcile the world back to God through Social Media. #LA187″

Esther 4:14 certainly made an impact on the family. It reads “For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

No point in keeping you in suspense… our family poet/writer Dami has written a #FRESH expository piece on this very important verse. Feed your spirit as you read.

There is a calendar in heaven and all our names are in it. We all get giddy about the book of Life but we forget about the calendar – God’s calendar. There is a time and a season for everything under the sun. When I last checked we live and tweet under the sun. Solomon struck a very fine nerve with his wonderful analysis of the nature of times, dispensations and seasons. He makes a valid point which you would do well to examine for yourself. Read Ecclesiastes 3.

Mordecai who doubtless must have come across some of those sayings of the King of Proverbs knew that the time of reckoning for the Jews was at hand. A man who was adept in the art of timely positioning he had scuttled the plot by two of King Xerxes’ men to assassinate the king. In timely fashion which you would notice about this man he was celebrated by the very man who was hell-bent on hanging him.

Everything that occurs on earth hinges on man’s availability and not his ability. Mordecai knew this and as he stared Esther in the eye he said to her “Perhaps you were raised to this position for such a time as this”. Esther 4:14. Like the sons of Issachar, Mordecai was a student of the times, he understood the patterns embedded in world events and recognized that the pageant organized after Queen Vashti’s expulsion was designed specifically for the salvation of the Jews.

We don’t know what Vashti’s reasons were for refusing the king’s request. Xerxes might have wanted her to come display her naked self or some other reason. But in God’s calendar it was time for Esther to step in.

Why are you here? I am sure you have read purpose driven life and other books on purpose but have you taken time out to ask yourself that question? When you observe the raging turmoil that pervades the earth, can you look within yourself and say YES! THIS WAS WHY I WAS BORN! THIS IS THE QUESTION THAT MY LIFE ANSWERS!!!

For such a time as this! In your company, in your college, in your community do you recognize God’s hand in bringing you to whatever position you are in? Are you a corper serving in a remote village in the middle of the Atlantic (Bayelsa corpers tuale!!) Can you see God’s divine design working out in you and through you for the deliverance of the villagers.

I trust that God will keep you in the center of His will. He will reveal to you his divine purposes and the reason for your calling. The word of God fine-tunes the transmission link between your spirit and your soul. The more you study God’s word the more your senses become aligned to detecting time and chance.

Do you know that God’s word is His will? Study the word of God today, train yourself in the scriptures, and join the @LA187Family where God’s word is FRESH and ALIVE.

W-O-W!

Our daily memory verse was taken from Psalms 108: 5-6:

Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.

Personalize as always… stay #FRESH and #ALIVE!

  1. We may also recall the timely “restlessness” of king Xerxes (or Ahaseurus, depending on what manuscript you’re peering at), where he called for the record books to be opened, leading to Haman’s shame and Mordecai’s exaltation.

Recall, also, the king’s timely “chancing upon” Haman supplicating Esther, an act, as we know, the king took to be seduction.

    Timeliness.

    Synchrony.

See. It’s all oiled cogs and wheels with God.

Dami_Maverick is blessed for sharing this, and so is @La187 family.

    Namaste.
