#LA130Prayer from John 9 and 10:

  1. I receive the grace to work while I can, I must take the Lord’s work seriously in Jesus name. John 9:4
  2. I celebrate you mighty God because you specialize in impossibilities in Jesus name. John 9:8-9
  3. I position myself for an encounter with God that will change my life for good in Jesus name. John 9:17
  4. By the power of the Holy Ghost, I proclaim Christ throughout the earth. I will not be ashamed of the Gospel. John 9:22-23
  5. Thank you Jesus for paying the price for my past, present and my future. John 10:1
  6. Thank you for the gift of eternal life. I guard my salvation with fear and trembling in Jesus name. John 10:10
  7. The Lord is my Shepherd and I shall not want. John 10:14
  8. Fill me with your wisdom Lord. Separate me from the carnal world. John 10:21

In our study of John 10, the church of God is being described as a sheep, Jesus being our shepherd, Our Good shepherd:

  • He comes in by the door to the sheep John 10:2-14. He submits to all that’s written about the Messiah (humility), takes the path of God’s will in presenting himself to the people (us). His purpose for coming in to give us life in contrast to the purpose of the thief (John 10:10)
  • He is the entrance to sheepfold John 10:7-9. Anyone (not a particular set of people) who comes through him shall be saved and can join the fold. He is the authority by which we go about and do our things. John 10:14-15.
  • He is good the Shepherd, He lays down his own life for us that we may have life. A hireling cannot do that because he’s not the real owner of the sheep, He’s just in possession for a while. John 10:12.
  • Do not put your trust in a hireling because he’s with the responsibility to look after the sheep just for the while and runs in the face of danger.
  • The sheep is accustomed to the voice of his Shepherd and listens to it only, he will not follow the voice of another John 10:4-5. The sheep follow him closely, only in him are they safe.

You have Learned! Go forth and Apply!

Food For Thought: Do you know and listen to the voice of your shepherd?

Please deposit John 10:10 into the memory bank:

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

Stay #FRESH, #CHAP and #ALIVE!
