#LA130: DAY 002 – IT IS WRITTEN!

LABADGE

Hello Amazing #LA Family! The family that learns and applies with joy!

It’s Day 2 of our #LA130 program. For more information, please see here.

Today’s Reading: Matthew 3 – 4.

For the daily readings, please see here.

Matthew 3 introduced us to the character of John the Baptist – The Forerunner, The One spoken about by the prophets, The Bold Preacher.

Five Fresh Lessons From The Life Of John The Baptist:

  1. We must understand our assignment and function accordingly. John understood his calling and functioned in his unction.
  2. Stay in the place of assignment. John the Baptist stayed in the wilderness, yet he was sought after.
  3. Each person has a unique purpose. John was to baptize with water and Jesus with the Holy Spirit and fire.
  4. Be a VOICE. People will always go wherever a VOICE is. John was in the wilderness, but he was a voice.
  5. We must never get tired of proclaiming the Gospel.

Bonus: John was to prepare the way for Christ’s first coming, we for His second.

From Matthew 4, we read that Jesus was tempted in the wilderness. How did He overcome? We’ll let the Fresh Tweets from our family members do the talking!

“Jesus responded to temptation with the word. He knew it, He spoke it and in the right context too. Know your scriptures, speak them.” – @Eloxie

“Jesus was able to overcome those temptations because He KNOWS who is and WHAT HE HAS. He had nothing to prove to the devil” – @Kingdomturf

“Jesus read the word and he excelled in temptation 101,201 & 301 study the bible to pass through temptations you can’t get carryovers” – @IRep4jesus

“And Jesus said for it is written, it’s important for us to know what is written, to battle temptation and false doctrine” – @IRep4jesus

“”It is written!” quote that any day & demons and devils will flee from you. With such a simple phrase, Jesus overcame temptation” – @SignetSeal

“The devil always tries to question your identity. Notice Jesus response to the 1st temptation. He lived by God’s Word concerning Him!” – @TheLAFamily

“For every temptation Jesus countered with the word. That is how we overcome the devil. Let the Word dwell in us richly Col3:16” – @EziahaA

Did you find the answer? Of course you did! He OVERCAME by SPEAKING THE WORD!

Be sure to read the fresh blog post by our family member, Dami – “IT IS WRITTEN

Food For Thought: If the devil knows the scriptures, what’s our excuse?

Please deposit Matthew 4:4 into the memory bank:

But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,

‘People do not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”

Feed your Spirit daily!

Stay #FRESH, #CHAP and #ALIVE!
