http://bible.us/psa142.6.nlt Hear my cry,for I am very low. Rescue me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me.
The Psalmist here is saying the obvious. He said his persecutors are too strong for him. Sometimes too we feel the situation we are facing is too strong for us or what is about to confront us will kill us. As a matter of fact sometimes we are clueless about what to do or who to go and meet for help. Those are the facts and the seemingly obvious reality. But the truth is that we are never helpless, hopeless or powerless. There is no opposition too strong for us.
The bible says greater is he that is in us than he that is in the world. 1 Jh4:4
The bible says we are more than a conqueror through Him who loved us. Rom8:37
The bible says when the enemy comes like a flood the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against it.
We are never without help at every point in time, if we could only look on the inside of us.
There is a 3 dimensional manifestation of God’s presence that He promised His people. It is an assurance of God’s presence even in the midst of opposition, attack and persecution of the enemy.
I believe it wasn’t in full operation in the old testament because Redemption wasn’t a reality then. And the three manifestation are that
1. God is for us.
2. God is with us.
3. God is in us.
These 3 realities/truths must be deeply rooted in our Spirit to the point that no lie of the devil can remove them from our consciousness.
Always remember that God is for us and never against us. The bible says If God is for us who can be against us? Rom8:31. So if God is for us no opposition can be too strong for us.
Then God is with us. There is no point at which God isn’t with us. The bible says He himself has said that I will never leave you nor forsake you. Heb13:5
And lastly, God is in us. That’s the greatest revelation of redemption which the old testament saints didn’t enjoy. God dwelling in them. I believe God’s method of solving problems from time immemorial is from the inside outside. We are never helped from the outside inside we are always helped from the inside out. We have the Holy Spirit on the inside of us. If we would allow Him, He’d help us. We are too defended to be defeated.
If we could only look inside of us and see the God of all the earth living on the inside of us.
May God open our eyes to the help we have inside of us. The bible calls the Holy Spirit our helper. He’ll help us in prayer and help us with wisdom.
