GRATITUDE. Sunday Devotional by @feyily

Psalm 129:5-6
Let those who hate Zion Be put to shame and turned back. Let them be as thee grass on the housetops, which withers before it grows up.

Many times, when faced with not-too-pleasant situations, we like the Gentiles ask, where is God?. We must not forget the faithfulness of God, we must not let our present situation overshadow the goodness of God in our lives.

Are you a grateful person? Or do you think since the year began there has not been anything to thank God for? You woke up healthy this morning, yet not everyone that went to bed as you did last night woke up this morning. A Yoruba adage says ‘The thoughtful is thankful’.

Remember the ten lepers that came to Jesus, were healed by Jesus, yet only one of them thought it wise to come back to the Healer to express his heart of gratitude. Just a tenth came back, majority of believers today see the grace of God they enjoy as a right and not a privilege. Are you one of the ‘NINE’? Shouldn’t you be a grateful believer?

God gave the greatest gift to humanity; do not forget to thank him this season for the gift of not just a Son but a beloved one who took away the sins of the world; in whom we have redemption.

You will see more this year if you will cultivate a grateful habit.

Prayers
Lord, help me to acknowledge your sovereignty when it’s convenient and when it is not. Father, help my unbelief and establish my feet firmly in you in Jesus Name. Lord, visit my life and family with your resurrection power in Jesus Name. Father uproot all you did not plant in my life in Jesus Name.
