Wisdom To Swallow Your Pride

TEXT: “A fool’s wrath is known at once but a prudent man covers shame.” Proverbs 12:16 (NKJV)

LEARN and APPLY:
When you have been offended and every bone wants to let it be known, PAUSE – listen to wisdom calling. Yes, the hurt was unpardonable, the betrayal grave. But recall the word in Ephesians 4: 26-27, which says be angry, and do not sin, so as not to give place to the devil. We are pointers to the light, and must avoid anything that will cause us to sin.

Wisdom is profitable to direct. Swallow the pride that reared its head at that offense and the desire to lash back to draw them in with love instead to cover their offenses.

Remember someone did the same for you all the way to the Calvary!

Pray: Father, give me the wisdom to decipher when to confront and when to cover an offense, more so give me the grace and the willingness to do so. Amen.
