The God Of Restoration

TEXT: “that land will belong to the remnant of…Judah…the Lord will care for them; He will restore their fortunes” Zephaniah 2:7 (NIV).

However gloomy the fate of the people God is punishing, He always gives room for survivors. These survivors are those that would turn from their wicked ways and obey His commands: do what is right and humble themselves before the Lord, (Zephaniah 2:3 Goodnews). Today, the body of Christ represents the survivors. We, who will turn from the world’s vain pursuits and will not bow to the ungodly designs and images that around us. These survivors understand that they are not of this place and strive to be different, (John 17:16; Romans 12:2; 2Cor.6:17).

Will you take the window of opportunity, and grace, to survive the wrath to come (Romans 11:5)?
Will you be one of the 7000 prophets who have not bowed their knees to Baal (1Kings 19:18)? Will you retrace your steps to God and ‘shape up…before God’s judgement-anger sweeps down on you’ (Zephaniah 2:1-2 MSG)

LEARN and APPLY: The only place where we can be happy and full of joy is in the presence of God. Stay in His presence and fix your eyes on Him and see miracles happen (Psalm 43:4-5 MSG)

Pray: Faithful Father, I turn from my pride. I accept that I am nothing without You. Please make things as good as before and do not sweep me away in Your judgement in Jesus’ name.
