That I Might Know Him

TEXT: ‘That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death’. (Philippians 3:10)

The above statement was written towards the end of Paul’s ministry. Despite his abundant revelations, diverse miracles and witnessing throughout his ministry, Paul still desired to know God more. Where are we friends? Many of us are having “arrival syndrome”, deceiving ourselves that there is no more available for us to know. Someone once told me the reasons the cherubim and seraphim keep shouting ‘Holy! Holy!! Holy!!!’ without getting tired is because God is showing a dimension they have not witnessed before, and when they see it they shout, ‘Holy’ and He shows them another.

Don’t get to that point in your walk and work for God that you think you know it all. “Blessed are they, who do hunger and thirst…” Keep the thirst and hunger for His presence friend. When you stop your desire to know Him, you start dying gradually. Keep up with the desire friends. There is a depth of God you and I are yet to see. There is more to God than you and I have seen. God is interested in us drawing near to Him to see the deeper truth. Stay focused on how to know Him more. Our growth is embedded in the depth of God that we know.

LEARN AND APPLY: Never get to a level where you believe you know it all. Pride will quickly set in if you do.

Prayer Focus:
God, help me to hunger and thirst for Your presence all the days of my life, in Jesus’ name Amen.
