READ and SHARE #LAFruits Devotional: ‘Let Go, Let God’ (Ephesians 3) by @Buqolar

April: Month of LOVE
Reading: Ephesians 3, Psalm 54

April 30

Let Go, Let God.

Text: ‘Now to Him who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us is able to [carry out His purpose and] do super abundantly, far over, and above all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]’ Ephesians 3:20 (AMP)

Sometimes, we ask things from God for which we already have answers in our minds. Prayers are said not because we expect God to actually do it, but for the sake of asking. Other times we do not have this conviction that the request will be granted. Our mind tells us to be ‘realistic’ and think only of what is ‘possible’. However, with God nothing is impossible.

It might take us a little while to grasp but it is the fact. We serve a God that specializes in impossibilities; He delights in turning situations around. God will do what He will do but we need to take steps. ‘May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts.’ (Ephesians 3:17 (AMP) Christ will only dwell in our hearts through FAITH!

Do we see Christ physically? No. But ‘we know He lives and is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him’. We know this by faith. Without faith, it is impossible to get anywhere with God, not to talk of pleasing Him. We must believe that He is alive and abides in us (Eph 3:17-18).

This is the ultimate goal. God wants to live in us, to work through us. To fill us up!

LEARN and APPLY: When we allow God to have His way in us, He will do exceedingly above what we could ever ask or imagine. Let go, Let God.

Prayer Focus:
Lord, have your way in me. Amen.
