Persevere

Text: ‘For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will and to agree and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.’ Revelation 17:17 (KJV)

Painful, heart-breaking experiences can make any Christian wonder why God allowed that to happen. We love God, work in His vineyard and obey His commandment, yet it seems that those who do not do half as much as we do for God have it more ‘blissful’ than we do. When we find ourselves these situations, God will make it work for His purpose for us. Like He did for Daniel, Joseph, Job, David etc, we hold on to the knowledge that the end of an upright and righteous man is peace. (Psalm 37:37)

The unfolding events around the world today of persecuted Christians, the evil, pain and suffering, hunger etc. can be overwhelming. But know this one truth, everything works together for good to them that love God and are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Are you going through a confusing or painful?

Learn and Apply: Be assured that as a Christian, if you persevere, you will come out better than you went into it and God’s name will be glorified.

Pray: Father, we pray for more grace to withstand hard times, which will bring glory to You, and also win souls for Your sake. Amen!
