‘I Am The LORD’ (Eze 39) by @LeMaxx #LAFruits Devotional

Reading: Ezekiel 39, Psalm 106

TEXT: ““And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the LORD.” Ezekiel 39:6

What do you believe? In the face of all your challenges, what is your understanding of God’s role in your life concerning them? Do you know that your Heavenly Father watches over you jealously and tears His enemies apart for your safety?

In our reading today we see how determined God was to wipe out His enemies and how carefully He outlined His plans to do so. We see also how He planned for the release of His people from captivity. This is the nature of our God. His eyes are on you to protect you from harm. And it is a terrible thing to be identified by God as His enemy, as our God is a consuming fire from whose path nothing and no one can escape.

However when the world wilfully harms the people of God it qualifies itself as His enemy. God’s love for us is certain and steadfast. Therefore He is not pleased when His people are oppressed and rendered helpless, such situations provoke Him to fight the oppressors to protect His own.

The reality of God’s word is unchanged still! He watches over us everyday and He watches over His word concerning each one of us to perform it. When we are treated unfairly, He is aware. When injustice is done to us, He is aware. When we are persecuted for the cause of Christ, He is not surprised. He has reserved judgment for His enemies and He has worked out salvation for us from oppression.

LEARN and APPLY: Accept the truth of God’s total faithfulness concerning His promise to watch over you. Bask in His endless love daily knowing that you are fully protected from all forms of evil.

Pray: Father, thank You for watching over me so lovingly. Please still my heart from every form of fear and help me to understand, and experience, the reality of Your protection over me and my household in Jesus name. Amen.
