My Testimony Will Finish

TEXT: “When they finish their testimony…” Revelation 11:7 (NKJV)

Loss of any kind can make us question the presence of God in our lives. We may ask how could God allow this to occur, or where were you Lord! John’s account of the “two witnesses” is like that too. One can begin to wonder how is it possible for God to allow them to die in such horrific circumstances, and without dignity too.

We do not need to be disheartened or ashamed to know we are doing great things for God. Even if to the public (within the church and/or unbelievers) our lives are dead because we do not “enjoy” life as they do (Rev. 11:10). Remember that God instructed John not to include the outer courtyard of the temple within his measurements. As we seek to better our witness in the world, we too must draw a line between our consecrated lives to God and anything that will defile it. (Rev 11:2).

Whenever we face any challenges, and it seems that we have reached a dead end, or the itch of our sackcloth is too much to bear, know that God has never abandoned His own. You are a witness of God and with God there will always be great successes, and there will always be life after death (Rev. 11:11).

There is nothing that God cannot resurrect. If your ministry or spiritual journey seems to be dying, trust that when God has assigned you with a task, you will finish your testimony.

LEARN and APPLY: Revelation 11:3, tells us that it is God who gives power to witnesses, and the work of a witness requires strength of spirit and great wisdom to succeed in completing his/her mission for God.

Pray: I bless You Almighty God who alone has the power over my life and protects me until my testimony is finished, in Jesus’ name. Amen
