Wisdom To Pour Your Heart Out

What does prayer mean to you? For some reason, a few of us see it is as a task that must be ticked off. But it is not a chore. It is communication between a father and son in the most liberal and unrestrained manner. Job poured out his heart. We see this same thing with David who did not shy away from expressing his pain to God.

We pray telling God how we feel, expecting Him to step in. We pray in faith. Having faith in God does not deny the reality. It is superimposing the word on what we see. That’s effectual prayer!!! Please do not make prayer a religious chore. Approach it like a child in pain talking to a father that is touched by the feeling of his/her infirmities. Give it all to Jesus and let Him turn your sorrow into joy.

Pray: Dear Father, please give me the wisdom to know the gift of God, the ministry of Jesus. I don’t want to be so comfortable in what I think I know that I do not recognize the gift of God and the eternal water He brings.
