TEXT ‘The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea I have a goodly heritage.
Psalm 16:6 (KJV)

Just Thankful!

Knowing God personally, and intimately, is the best thing that can happen to any Christian. You are no longer worried about the diverse situation of life, which make the heart grow faint, because your inheritance is from the Lord. Yes, the day you gave your life to Christ was the day you had the birth right to access heaven’s pleasant places while here on earth.

And these pleasant places are not only measured by your material acquisitions, spiritual height, marital status or every other parameter used in measuring success. It can also come from knowing that God owns the earth and the fullness thereof (Ps. 24:1) and if you have God you have everything, even when it looks like you are not ‘there’ yet.

So whether the cup be full or half full in whatever you are seeking, boldly declare that ‘The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places’, even when my ‘rose’ is sometimes shrouded by ‘thorns’. Read this verse with a huge smile on your, surely the lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places.

Say, ‘I am thankful that I have a goodly heritage.’

LEARN and APPLY: We need a right standing with God to be able to access His pleasant places. Sin is a reproach that can hinder this!

Pray: Lord, our lines are fallen in pleasant places in all areas of our lives. This is our declaration, today and always. Amen.
