Fix The Fault

TEXT: “They do not turn to the Most High; they are like a faulty bow. Their leaders will fall by the sword because of their insolent words. For this they will be ridiculed in the land of Egypt.” Hosea 7:16 (NIV)

Motorists will agree that it is very risky to allow a faulty car on the road as it exposes both the occupants and other road users to danger. Similarly, a faulty bow is unreliable. It will miss the target and its owner will also be quite vulnerable on the battlefield. So too is a life without God. Without God’s direction, our lifestyle will be filled with lusts, selfishness and other faults that will keep us from reaching our true potential, and be the stewards that God has called us to be.

People look everywhere except to God for happiness and fulfillment. There is a God-sized hole in every man and only God can truly satisfy the deep longings of our soul. Psalm 4:8b says, “for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe”, God has provided a supernatural escape from every natural discomfort in life for us. We will find this escape route by looking unto the Most High, and allowing Christ, the Master Fixer, to fix our lives.

True safety indeed is of the Lord.

LEARN and APPLY: Expose every fault, which has kept you in a particular cycle of disorder, to the light of God’s Word and receive total transformation.

Pray: Father, thank You for the entrance of Your word into my spirit. I decree that as I receive Your word daily, it changes me. It corrects me and conforms me into your image in Christ. Amen!
