Cast Down?

TEXT: “Why are you cast down, O my inner self? And why should you moan over me and be disquieted within me? Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him.” Psalm 42:11 (KJV)

Cast down? You don’t need to be. What if we learn to have a monologue with our inner selves every time we realize all is not well? We have a God who can be counted on for everything, all the time. There is nothing He cannot do. He wipes our tears away and sweeps away all our fears. Hope in Him, wait for Him expectantly. Pray over what is causing you to be downcast. Let God take control of everything.

Friends, relatives and people you admire will disappoint you. God is still with you and will never leave you. Just cleave unto Him. Like David, having that inner talk with self and assuring ourselves of what we have in the Lord strengthens us so that we can never be shaken.

To know that He is our help and our God, calls for praise. For God is mighty and all-powerful. He shall deliver us always and raise us above our enemies, and all situations that want to steal our peace away, only if we let Him.

Are you downcast? Praise the Lord for the victory and joy that is coming your way!
Praise Him!
Praise Him!
Praise Him!
Praise Him in everything!

LEARN and APPLY: Anytime you send yourself an invite to a pity party, gladly decline, and immediately start your praise. A downcast soul is not conducive to the God who lives in us.

Pray: Thank You God for the assurance I have in you; the help of my countenance. I will always praise You and have hope in You. Take control of every situation in my life. Glory to your name, Amen.
