Strength to end 2015 well – Day 3: Pray For Fruitfulness

Should God Preserve You?

Recently I overheard someone ask, “should God Preserve you?” And it struck a chord in me. Christianity is a relationship with God, as well as a responsibility to God, and to feed His flock. In my reflection, I wondered, “are we justifying God’s grace upon our lives?” God has so graciously given us life, job, family etc for a reason i.e. to glorify him, to spread His love, to help as many as we can snf to pray for as many as we can.

“But I with a song of thanksgiving will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed, I will make good.” (Jonah 2:9)
After Jonah made this statement, God commanded the fish to spit him out!
This, to me, is a clear indication that God has an assignment for everyone of us. He didn’t give us the holy spirit as a trophy for our salvation. We have the holy spirit to help us work for him. To show us ways through which we can build up others and to help us meet the need of our fellow man (both the believer and non-believer). Our service to God, from a sincere heart, moves God to keep us away from harm.

Therefore let us seek to gain clarity regarding how, and where, God wants us to function.

LEARN and APPLY: Focus and consistency in the little we are doing now is the key to unlocking greater dimensions of God’s plans for us. Selah.

Pray: Heavenly Father, I recieve grace to make the best use of my life serving You.Show me how to be of benefit to Your kingdom, in Jesus name. Amen.
