The Overcomers

TEXT: “And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony and they loved not their lives unto death”. Revelation 12:11 (KJV)

Many times I have been led to speak of God in front of people, either by praying or sharing a word. And whenever the opportunity presented itself for me to follow that leading, at such times l always felt fear and unworthiness. Questions arose like, “who are you to speak about God or to pray about this issue?”, flooded my mind and I always felt paralysed to do God’s will. As I grew closer to God, my understanding changed. I began to realise my sanctification by faith in the blood of Christ becoming confident in His word, and through the work of the Holy Spirit, to speak of God with no shame or fear

We too can be like the ‘overcomers’ in Revelation 12:11, when we stand on the authority and redemption in blood of Jesus Christ. We overcome when we hold on to our testimony, which is the knowledge revealed to us, the works wrought in us and through us by the inner witness (the Holy Spirit). And lastly, we overcome when we confidently declare God’s word with no regard of ourselves, or what men may say of or do to us.

The more you share, the greater your capacity to receive.

LEARN and APPLY: Believe you have been made worthy of God, by faith in Christ Jesus and His completed work on the cross. Learn to share with others the wisdom and knowledge of God, which is continually being given to you.

Pray: Dear Father, we know we have allowed our sin consciousness to blind us to Your son’s finished work on the cross. We beg your forgiveness. Teach us to know your righteousness and help us to boldly declare it to all men, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
