Arise & Build.

Nehemiah 2

Nehemiah didn’t stop at praying, he did something more. He approached the king and made his request. Believers should know that the heart of earthly kings are in the hands of the heavenly King of Glory, and if God has said yes, who can say no?

Before he spoke to the people, he first viewed the extent of the damage.
Nehemiah called upon everyone to join him rebuild the wall. He knew he couldn’t do it alone, v. 17. Bless God who made the people to be willing to build the wall. V. 18 It is a good thing when members and ministers are of one mind. When you arise to do a good work, people will definitely mock you. But that must never discourage you.

This is how to answer the enemy, “The God of heaven Himself will prosper us; therefore we His servants will arise and build.”

The prosperity God brings is to enable us to better serve Him. Let comfort not make our feet slow and our hands weary. Let us arise and build.

Is there a broken wall around you, your family, your city, which has become a reproach? There is hope, but only if you’ll arise and build.

Like Nehemiah, I will arise and build.
