3 Ways Of Showing Love Without Giving Money

2 Thess. 1:3

Dear brothers and sisters, we can’t help but thank God for you, because your faith is flourishing and your love for one another is growing.

There were two important virtues present in their lives for which Paul was thankful:

1. Flourishing Faith
2. Growing Love

No 1 is very easy.
No. 2 is tough. How can I show love in this tough world?

People will ask us for money, who do we give? Will they pay back? How do we know if they really need it? Etc etc

But apart from money which a lot of us in our struggling/survival  stage do not have,

Are there any other ways we can show love one towards another?

Sarah Eze had a good answer:

1. We can pray for each other… The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. We cannot under estimate the impact of our prayer for the people around us,  our nation, our friends, our enemies….

2. We can be of service. Simply letting someone go ahead of us while driving reduces the tension. Or going out of our way to make a process easier for someone. Or making the bed of a flatmate or washing the dishes without being asked, or giving someone a ride and going out of our way to ensure they get to their destination.

3. We can stop to listen. And just listen to someone patiently. Most people seem to have the answers before they have heard the problem. Patiently listening to someone makes that person feels valued

Prayer: Lord, help me not to miss an opportunity to show love to my brethren. Help me to love like you will.  Amen.
