Wisdom To Speak The Truth
TEXT: “For my mouth will speak truth; Wickedness is an abomination to my lips.” – Proverbs 8:7 (NKJV)
LEARN and APPLY:
Make the decision to never tell a lie, white or black. God hates lying lips (Proverbs 6:16-17: ‘These six things the Lord hates,… a lying tongue’) and thus will not answer a prayer said from lying lips.
A wise heart will yield a wise mouth with truth as its fruit.
Though it appears as though a lie is the only escape route from that situation that wants to corner us, we must stick to speaking the truth.
Jesus always spoke the truth. In fact, Jesus is the truth (John 14:6). And therefore, we must be like our Master and always speak the truth.
Pray: Father, purge us of lying lips. Let your spirit take over our tongue so we may forever utter the truth, and nothing but the truth. Amen.
