Wisdom for inspiring leadership (Joshua 17) #LAWisdom

Worthy of note also is the manner in which Joshua handled the issue brought up by the children of Joseph.

The children of Joseph came with pomp and pageantry, exclaiming how great a people they are, and asking for more inheritance for themselves (v. 14). Joshua, answering them, gives them the woods of the land of the Perrizites.

Instead of taking it, they start complaining that the Canaanites there have chariots of iron. Joshua, however, in his wisdom, encourages them thus:

“And Joshua spake unto the house of Joseph, even to Ephraim and to Manasseh, saying, Thou art a great people, and hast great power: thou shalt not have one lot only:  But the mountain shall be thine; for it is a wood, and thou shalt cut it down: and the outgoings of it shall be thine: for thou shalt drive out the Canaanites, though they have iron chariots, and though they be strong.”

Joshua 17:17-18 KJV

When next people come to you complaining of the tough battles they have before them, remind them of their authority in Christ and the encourage them to quit themselves as men.

God is with you, you’ll overcome.

Yes,  please tell 3 people, God is with you, you’ll overcome 😊💪🏽.
