To God, our strength. (Psalm 59) #LAFruits Reflection

David was going through persecution from his enemies. They sought to destroy him and make a mess of him, and they believed no one was watching (v. 7).

Thankfully, David was wise, he remembered God’s steadfast love towards him.  He remembered that ‘God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble’ (Psalm 46:1). On remembering that, his song changed, his prayers changed.

Believer,  when you go through trying times, what do you remember?

Remember that God is our strength and that his love is Steadfast. This will enable you weather the storm and say,

‘O my Strength, I will sing praises to you,
for you, O God, are my fortress,
the God who shows me steadfast love’ (v. 17).

Learn and Apply: There is nothing God cannot do. There is nothing bigger than God. Cast all your cares upon Him for He cares for you.
