One more reason to take the word of God you hear /read /get from sermons to heart:
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.
1 Peter 1:23-25 NIV
Please observe:
1. It is the word of God that ministers grace in your heart. Basically it facilitates your being born again.
2. It is imperishable, living, and enduring .
3. Again, super stars come, super stars go, but God’s stays forever. Transforming lives in the process.
4. Now finally, that enduring word, that word that gets people born again, that word that ministers grace, is the word that is being preached to you and shared here, daily.
I’m encouraged to take it seriously.
