READ #LAProverbs Devotional ‘Till Your Ground’

‘He who tills his land will be satisfied with bread’ Proverbs 12:11

A wise man once said, ‘Nothing venture, nothing have.’ This goes on to say that we reap what we sow. If we sow nothing, we’ll eventually reap nothing. We must sow, so that we can be satisfied tomorrow.

We must sow into our soul by study and personal development. We must sow into our spirits through prayer and studying the Word. If these things be in you, you will be full, lacking no good thing. (2 Pet 1:8-9)

In life also, we must invest. We must cast our net upon the waters and expect to have a catch.

Are you looking for a job?
Till your ground by developing yourself and posting your CV to different companies. You’ll soon have bread.

In school?
Don’t stop tilling your ground through study.

Whatever you desire to have in life, you must do something about.

Remember, ‘Nothing venture, nothing have!’

Prayer Focus:
Dear Lord, help us discover areas of our lives we are not working on, and give us grace to begin to till those grounds in Jesus name. Amen.
