January: month of FAITH
Reading: Luke 1-4

The Infallible Word

‘Sovereign Lord, now let your servant die in peace, as you have promised. I have seen your salvation,’ Luke 2:29-30

Faith begins where the will of God is known and the will of God is often communicated via His word. Simeon built his life on the word, he was considered as righteous and was ready to die the moment the word became flesh to him. God considers us as righteous when we believe His word completely (Romans 4:24). The word may have been given to him as a young man, yet the fulfillment was seen in his old age.

We ought to give the word of God the first and final authority in our lives. Isaiah compared the word to rain that never pours down without watering the earth (Isaiah 55: 9-10). If God said it, that settles it. The word cannot fail.

Has God said anything to you that seems slow in coming? Wait patiently for it, don’t give up on the word, the word will never give up on you.

Prayer Focus:
Precious Father, thank You for making Your word flesh to me through the gift of Christ. I receive the manifestation of the totality of this wonderful gift in every area of my life, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
