READ #Fruits15 Devotional Day 1: Get Yourself Ready

image

God is ever ready to do wonders. He is ever ready to pour out His blessings upon His people (Eph. 3:20); but are we ready to receive the blessing?

In Mark 4:3-20, Jesus narrates the parable of the sower who went sowing the word in the hearts of the people. Some fell on stony ground and didn’t bear fruit (v. 6), others fell among thorns and yielded no fruit (v.7). There were still some seeds that fell on good ground and yielded fruit that increased (v. 8).

If the word is to produce fruit in us then we must plough our hearts by consecration to God.  We must make our hearts conducive for the word of God to spring up and bear fruits. We must break the stony grounds of sin (Hosea 10:12) and uproot every thing that is taking our hearts away from the Word of God (James 1:21).

Make the word of God priority in your life and see yourself become fruitful in this season.

You will be fruitful!

Prayer Focus
Father, thank you for your word. That causes us to profit. Help me to rid my heart of every thing that will choke your word in Jesus’ name. Amen!
